TORI COMIC BOOK TATTOO OUT JULY 23, 2008.

A beautiful book is about to be born into the world. I saw the proofs at the Book Expo, while I was there with Neil. The pages are stunning...and the fact that Rantz did so much work under great personal strain, i am in awe. It is the shape and size of an album cover, a medium near and dear to my LP-lovin' heart.

I am the luckiest girl to have been involved in it, writing my take on my favorite Tori Amos song, SUGAR...my first published script...
and Neil does a wonderful introduction to the book.

Available for pre-order at the Tori Store:

***LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE ALREADY SOLD OUT OF THE LIMITED EDITION....

this from Tori's website (www.everythingtori.com):

This July the ever-growing relationship between comics and music reaches new heights as Tori Amos and Image Comics release COMIC BOOK TATTOO, a 480-page, full color anthology adapting the themes and ideas behind her songs into a lush volume of sequential art.

"I have been surprised, excited and pleasantly shocked by these comics that are extensions of the songs that I have loved and therefore welcome these amazing stories of pictures and words because they are uncompromisingly inspiring," says Amos. "It shows you thought is a powerful formidable essence and can have a breathtaking domino effect."

To assemble COMIC BOOK TATTOO's diverse roster of talent, Amos worked alongside editor Rantz Hoseley, co-creator behind the upcoming DISPLACED PERSONS and VIX. Together they formed a line up featuring Y: THE LAST MAN's Pia Guerra, Leah Moore, John Reppion David Mack, Hope Larson, Ryan Kelly, Jonathan Hickman, Colleen Doran, Eric Canete, Ted McKeever, Jock, Anthony Johnston, Dame Darcy, Carla Speed McNeil, Kelly Sue DeConnick, Mark Buckingham, Ivan Brandon, C. B. Cebulski and many more, including an introduction by SANDMAN creator Neil Gaiman.

COMIC BOOK TATTOO, a 12" x 12" 480-page anthology, will be in stores July 23rd. (this makes the Tori book a LEO!)

I love Tori Amos (but don't think I know the song "Sugar")! I am so happy for you, Cat! How thrilling for you! Congratulations!

You are the luckiest girl in the western world!

Great stuff!

I always wonder, who came first into your world Tori Amos or the Boss.

Thanks for the cool photo.

Tori is pretty magic, and it was her that lead us to you. I remember how nervous I was going to meet you backstage for the first time, until the second I saw you, and the my mind went "OH! It's HER!"

I had known you forever, before we even spoke...

(I am so bloody poetic tonight.)

Both, most likely.

Maddy and her friend made you frosting today. Pics at the LaM blog, they were so sweet. I told them the story and they wanted to make SURE you got your frosting.

It's really good too, and purple.
